2022 Angels Without Wings
Recipient's Roll Call
The recipients assembled together on stage after receiving their awards with the CEO Paula Love and Vice President Dr. Howard Gaines.
Is being given this award for his continued God given appointment of feeding thousands upon thousands of people. He picks up the food and makes sure that everyone gets to eat. His willingness to go above and beyond his call to duty is simply amazing and extraordinary. His compassion for the people provides him with the ability to feel their pain and identify with what they’re going through. Pastor Greg also makes it possible for other nonprofits to open their doors and feed the hungry. He has been an Angel Without Wings for many years and we at the P-Luv’z Helping Hands Foundation applaud Pastor Greg and feel that it’s important that he be given the recognition he deserves.

“With my God given purpose, I have made it my duty to walk the path he set before me. As a wife, a mother of 14 children and someone who fostered our youth for over 15 years, my purpose is constantly being fulfilled each and everyday. With God’s blessing and graciousness, I was called upon to become an evangelist to continue to spread his word, while touching the lives of many.”- pp

“Born and raised in Bronx, New York , I started working with neighborhood youth diversion at the young age of 16. My mother was the director of the program and that's where I found my passion for service, specifically, helping people progress toward success. Upon moving to California, I began working in Behavioral Health with a focus on maternity health for infant support. Working at West Valley and Glen Helen Detention Centers became an opportunity for me to "pay-it-forward" as I was a young teenage mother myself. I was able to relate and share experiences with the young girls and help them establish stability. I believe that each 1 should teach 1, which is the motto for my non-profit, and if I could do it so could they! For several years, I worked as an admissions counselor and director in education helping those work toward their highest potential. In 2006, I experienced health complications that tested my faith and the faith of those around me, and by His grace, I am here. During my recovery, the Spirit kept me feeling as if my knowledge and skills to offer support services were needed. In 2007, I opened Hughes Training and Development (formerly Hughes Residential Services) emergency shelter services knowing that it was what I had been called to do. I started out servicing Transitional Adolescent Youth (TAY) and currently work with Department Behavioral Health and Adult Forensic Care clients coming from the prison system and/or rehab. My sober living facility has not only impacted the clients I serve, also the community but mostly me! Watching the impact of positive words and affirmations for those who had once given up on themselves is the greatest reward.”-NH

He was raised in the inner city in Los Angeles California. Specifically, Watts. He attended 3 different schools due to being placed on “social adjustment” protocol. Nevertheless, Willy graduated from High School. He wanted to attend college, but unfortunately there were no means for him to do so. Thus, he joined the Marines at the tender age of 17 and served a 13 months tour in Vietnam and 2 years duty as military police.
He attended Southwest Jr. College in Los Angeles and earned an Associate of Arts degree Administration of Justice, and ultimately his Bachelors in criminal Justice from Cal State in Los Angeles California. Willy served as Probation Officer , Police Officer and drug & alcohol counselor. After 35 years of Government Service Willy retired.
Willy was called to the “ministry,” where his mindset changed from “locking up” to “lifting up.” He now serves as an Elder, at the Great Commission Worship Center under the Leadership of Dr. Howard Gaines. A very fulfilling assignment “being of service.” Elder Willy Jenkins remains an advocate for positive change through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
